Absolutely unique “cameo” of the bay is St. Angelo on one end of the beach: a charming village, once just a fishing hamlet.
On the whole national territory there is no place to be compared with this peninsula. Nowadays the old fishers’ houses at the foot of the mountain live side by side with the luxury hotels that make St. Angelo the small Capri.
At St. Angelo a sense of quiet rest can be really felt: here cars and racing cars are totally banned because they cannot enter here. Bars and restaurants in the open air welcome you only surrounded by sky, sea and mountains.
In its surroundings there is plenty of thermal water. Along the beach leading to the Marina of the Maronti there are the famous Fumarole: you have really to pay attention not to walk barefoot, as sand is hot!
